Job Description
Lead and manage the production and material planning functions, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Order Management processes to support business needs and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
- Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule based on demand forecasts, inventory targets, and capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Procurement to align the MPS with business priorities.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to ensure supply continuity and optimal resource utilization.
2. Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Drive the MRP process to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Analyze MRP outputs and coordinate with Procurement to execute purchasing plans.
- Minimize excess inventory while avoiding material shortages.
3. Order &Fulfillment Management
- Manage the end-to-end order cycle from order receipt to production planning and delivery coordination.
- Ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) order fulfillment through proactive planning and execution.
- Resolve order-related issues and collaborate with Customer Service and Logistics to meet customer expectations.
4. Inventory Control & Planning Accuracy
- Monitor inventory levels and drive initiatives to optimize working capital.
- Improve planning accuracy through continuous refinement of planning parameters and systems.
- Support inventory reconciliation and cycle count processes.
5. Reporting & Process Improvement
- Generate and analyze planning KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns).
- Lead or participate in planning-related improvement projects (e.g., system upgrades, SOP development).
- Ensure data accuracy and system integrity in ERP/planning tools.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in production and material planning, preferably in manufacturing or agriculture.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/MPS processes and MES systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficient in Excel and planning/reporting tools (Power BI is a plus).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
