Job Description

OVERVIEW

The QFS Manager will oversee all supplier quality management activities to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality materials that meet stringent food safety and regulatory standards. This leadership role involves managing the supplier evaluation process, supervising quality assurance teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to uphold our commitment to food safety and product excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Quality and Food Safety Management

  1. Develop and maintain a food safety system compliant with BRCGS, Kosher, Halal, Organic, and other standards.
  2. Lead internal audits, external audits, customer audit and regulatory inspections.
  3. Coordinate testing, validation, and quality control activities for new products.
  4. Oversee system compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  5. Ensure all documentation, procedures, and records are properly maintained and audit  ready.
  6. Manage investigation into quality incidents or non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
  7. Monitor and improve operational processes to strengthen quality and food safety.
  8. Analyze quality data, trends, and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.

3) People Development

  1. Lead and train the quality and food safety team to build skills and accountability.
  2. Set goals, provide feedback, and promote a quality-focused culture.

4) Complaint Management and Continuous Improvement

  1. Oversee customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  2. Drive quality improvements based on audit results and feedback.
  3. Partner with stakeholders to balance business objectives, operational risks, and compliance requirements.
  4. Support issue resolution and decision-making related to product quality, compliance risks, and operational challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education: Graduated from a university in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, or related majors.
  2. Experience: 7- 8 years of experience in a similar position in food manufacturing companies.
  3. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, BRCGS, Kosher, Halal…
  4. Planning and conducting process audits.
  5. English skills: Good communication
  6. MS Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  7. Management and organization
  8. Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member.
