Job Description
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, quality standards, and safety compliance. This role supervises production staff, manages workflow, and ensures that production targets are met on time and within budget with high quality result.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities
- Organize meetings with subordinates
- Ensure production schedules are met efficiently
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet demand
- Minimize downtime and maximize productivity
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and support production staff
- Assign tasks and monitor employee performance
- Promote a positive and safe working environment
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
3. Quality Assurance
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures
- Investigate defects and implement corrective actions
4. Safety Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety regulations and policies
- Conduct safety inspections and training sessions
- Ensure proper use of equipment and protective gear
5. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Work with management to optimize production processes
- Implement lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain production records and reports
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Report production progress and issues to management
7. Equipment & Maintenance
- Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs
- Monitor equipment performance and efficiency
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or production management software
- Able to communicate and understand English.
