Position Overview:
The Principal plays a key leadership role within the Executive Search team, responsible for managing client relationships, driving business development, and overseeing the successful delivery of senior-level search assignments. This role combines strategic account management, industry expertise, and team leadership to achieve revenue and growth targets.Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Client Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with C-level executives, HR Directors, and key decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned industries or functional areas.
  • Lead client meetings to understand hiring needs, company culture, and organizational goals.
  • Negotiate search agreements, fees, and terms of engagement.

2. Search Execution

  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for senior-level positions, from research and candidate sourcing to final offer and placement.
  • Manage a team of consultants and researchers to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates based on experience, leadership capability, and cultural fit.
  • Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to clients.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach and mentor consultants and associates to build strong search and client management capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with company values.
  • Monitor project progress, KPIs, and client satisfaction metrics.

4. Market & Industry Expertise

  • Act as a subject-matter expert within specific sectors (e.g., Manufacturing, FMCG, Financial Services, Technology, etc.).
  • Stay updated on market trends, talent movements, and competitor activities.
  • Represent the firm at networking events, conferences, and professional associations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, HR, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in executive search, recruitment consulting, or a relevant business leadership role.
  • Strong track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple search assignments and lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and a consultative approach.
