Job Description:

Job Overview Objective/Summary of Position:

We are seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented Head of Business Development to spearhead the expansion of our operations in Vietnam. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in propelling growth and enhancing our market footprint within the Vietnamese region. This role presents a unique opportunity for a driven individual to exert significant influence on our business.

Roles & Responsibilities: Effective Coaching Skills:

Collaborate with our distribution partner in Vietnam, recognizing that their success is intertwined with ours. Maintain close engagement with our partner and steer our agenda to focus the sales team on optimizing our product performance. Possessing robust business acumen and effective coaching skills is imperative.

Market Analysis and Strategy Formulation:

Conduct thorough market research through creative methods (such as customer and consumer interviews) to pinpoint growth opportunities and trends in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) food and beverage industry in Vietnam. Devise a comprehensive business development strategy customized for the Vietnamese market, encompassing market entry and expansion plans.

Sales and Revenue Generation in Coordination with Distribution Partner:

Develop and execute sales and distribution plans in collaboration with our partners to meet revenue targets. Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers to ensure product placement and sales growth. Familiarity with Modern Trade (MT) customers is crucial.

New Product Launch:

Identify product opportunities and lead successful product launches in the market. Formulate pricing strategies and go-to-market plans for new products.

Marketing and Brand Promotion:

Collaborate with the Group marketing team to design and implement marketing campaigns for effective product promotion. Monitor and assess the impact of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary. Work on PR initiatives with the PR agency to leverage impactful news generated either in Vietnam or other countries.

Competitive Analysis:

Stay updated on the competitive landscape, including competitor products, pricing, and market positioning. Utilize this information to make data-driven decisions and develop strategies for maintaining a competitive edge.

Relationship Building:

Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, trade associations, suppliers, and partners to bolster business development efforts.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate regular reports on market performance, sales activities, and results. Analyze sales data and market feedback to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven 10 years of experience within the FMCG or related industry, demonstrating a track record in business development or sales roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Vietnamese FMCG food and beverage market.
  • Profound understanding of the FMCG industry, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Independent contributor role; must be able to work autonomously.
  • Fluency in both Vietnamese and English languages."
