Data Analytic Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Dashboard Development:
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards.
  • Translate business requirements into visuals, filters, drill-downs, and interactive reports.
  • Ensure dashboards follow design best practices with Clarity, consistency and performance.
• Data Preparation:
  • Connect dashboards to star tables / semantic models prepared by Data Engineers, where needed, use Power Query (M) to perform light data cleanup or transformations.
• DAX & Metrics Implementation:
  • Create DAX measures for KPIs.
  • Optimize DAX for performance to avoid heavy row context, use measures over calculated columns.
  • Validate metrics with business users to ensure trust in numbers.
• Testing & Documentation:
  • Test dashboards for accuracy, performance, and usability before publishing. Document report logic and navigation guides for business users.
• User Support & Continuous Improvement:
  • Provide ad-hoc support to business users on dashboard usage.
  • Collect feedback and iterate dashboards for improved adoption. Continuously learn new Power BI and Fabric features to improve deliverables.

Skill:

• Technical Skills:
  • Power BI development (reports, dashboards, data models).
  • Proficient in DAX and Power Query (M).
  • Basic SQL (able to query golden tables or views when needed).
  • Understanding of semantic models and star schema basics.
• Business Knowledge:
  • Exposure to Supply Chain metrics (Forecast Accuracy, Service Level, Inventory, OTIF).
  • Ability to quickly learn new KPIs and translate them into visuals.
• Soft Skills:
  • Attention to detail and a passion for data visualization.
  • Willingness to learn from Data Engineers and Analytics Leaders.
  • Good communication skills for working with business users.

Experience:

• 1-3 years in BI or reporting.
• Strong with Power BI, DAX, Power Query.
• Basic SQL (can pull from views/tables prepared by engineers).
• Exposure to business users (translating requirements into dashboards).
• Interested in design / storytelling with data.
