About the job

 

The Country Sales Manager is responsible for setting and executing a winning country or national sales strategy to drive growth and achieve competitive advantage. This role involves managing the entire sales operation and reports directly to the General Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Revenue Growth

  • Lead the planning and execution of the competitive sales strategy to increase market share and revenue.
  • Increase revenue by generating new business, acquiring new accounts, growing existing accounts, and driving new product introduction.
  • Execute the sales and distribution plans, specifically aiming to grow key dealers, volume, and profit to achieve annual GROW ambitions.
  • Translate the marketing plan into actionable sales initiatives and work with the marketing team to generate market pull.

 

Team and Relationship Management

  • Build, attract, develop, and retain sales talent to ensure the team has the necessary strengths to implement the growth strategy.
  • Establish strong, mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with farmers, distributors, and dealers throughout the sales process.
  • Provide training to maintain and improve the team's product enrichment and sales skills.

 

Operational and Financial Control

  • Manage sales operations to meet departmental goals.
  • Maintain minimum account receivables by actively collecting money.
  • Ensure inventory is moving forward and conduct clean-up of non-moving and slow-moving products

 

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sales Manager in an international company, with a focus on nationwide coverage in Vietnam, ideally in a business similar to East-West Seed.
  • Proven accomplishment in significantly growing sales revenues and developing a robust sales organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluent English required for effective global communication.
  • Ability to adapt to different organizational environments and work seamlessly with diverse international colleagues (e.g., from Thailand, Philippines, India, Myanmar, Indonesia).
  • Willingness and ability to travel to EWS areas of operation.
  • Preference will be given to Vietnamese national with prior work experience in an international agriculture or life sciences company.

Location to be based: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
