Country Director, Financial Services - Global Payment (Vietnam)

About the job

Responsibilities The Global Payments team provides professional payment solutions with the smooth functioning of payment channels to all global businesses of ByteDance to support the expansion and growth of ByteDance’s global businesses.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine our Vietnam market BNPL vision, strategy, and product roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as legal, compliance, finance, engineering, design, marketing, and business.
- Deeply understand regulatory compliance requirements and work with the product team to design, launch, refine and integrate BNPL products into our payment platform and the broader TikTok ecosystem, ensuring seamless user experience and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Analyze VN and SEA market trends, customer behavior, and data to identify and prioritize opportunities for innovation, growth and optimization.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to consumer lending solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Extensive experience and connection with Financial Institutions and Regulators in the Vietnam.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and external parties.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering results.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguities and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in lending (credit card/ consumer loan/BNPL), payments, finance, FinTech, or eCommerce space.
