Authority &Responsibility:
- Scope of job is to cover, lead, and support problem-solving in Development engineering
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leading the development of innovative, functional, cost-effective product concepts and product designs and has a full understanding in the application of design controls and development process.
- Develops test methods and performs design verification testing utilizing statistical methods
- Performs tolerance analysis of mechanical designs and fully understands current drawing standards
- Conducts and participates in customer and internal design reviews
- Assists in updating and maintaining the Product Development process
- Create and communicate project plans, tasks and deliverable to customers and senior management.
- Lead in develop and document product databases.
- Lead in root cause analysis, solution development and implementation
- Control engineering documents control, input, and release as needed.
- Lead in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001 certification.
- Review Customer RFQ (Engineering Area) and come up with good understanding and proposal for design and manufacturing.
- Customer interface for engineering agenda and focus on market trend in technology.
- Lead development engineering team for timely delivery of design, customer response and reverse engineering along with other requirements as arise.
- Supports transfer of design to manufacturing.
- Lead/support all communication of internal and external to achieve corporate goals.
- Lead communication with customers to follow up agenda and to solve issues.
- Maintains Design History File per established procedures and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Mentor and train junior engineers
Requiered Skills, Working Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years’ in managing product engineering for development & design.
- Experience/Skills: Bilingual communication – ability to speak, read and write English and Vietnamese.
- Solid engineering background in GD&T & Design.
- Ability to make presentations and report using MS office.
- Auto CAD, Solidworks design capability.
- Good understanding in FMEA & APQP.
- Knowledge in manufacturing process for metals, such as metals, machining, H/T and etc.
- Proven skills and abilities in leadership, planning, manufacturing systems and processes, continuous improvement in manufacturing techniques, employee development strategies as well as problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills as a must.
- Having great attention to detail
Required Qualifications:
- Education/Training: Graduate from University of Engineering.
