Job Description:
Compliance Management:
- Stay updated on labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in multiple Asian countries. (China, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Viet Nam).
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to local laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and HR teams to implement changes in policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Review company policies.
- Implement and manage an effective internal control process.
- Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.
Payroll Processing:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for employees in Asian countries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with payroll providers and finance teams to gather necessary payroll data.
- Manage payroll vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements are met.
Taxation and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll-related taxes and statutory contributions.
- Oversee required reports to local authorities.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations affecting payroll.
Employee Relations:
- Address payroll-related queries from employees and resolve issues promptly.
- Educate employees on payroll policies, tax deductions, and compliance matters.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.
Data Quality
- Update Group HR software accurately.
HR team support
- Support the HR Asian team with the following processes:
- Conducting exit interviews.
- Collecting and analyzing employee data.
- Using data to create employee profiles.
- Liaising between employees and management.
- Compensation and benefits benchmarks.
Management
- Manage a compliance and benefits officer in charge of Vietnam.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- No payroll non-conformity.
- Data Accuracy.
- Dashboard timelines.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Main internal contacts: ASEAN HR Manager, HR BP, Managers.
- Main external contacts: Payroll providers, Lawyers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll processing and compliance management in Asian countries.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across various Asian jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in payroll software and MS Office Suite.
- Certifications in payroll or related fields are a plus.
