● Company is a tech-driven financial instrument trading firm whose strategies / quantitative research/trading operations will strongly rely on the data quality that your ‘will-be’ data platform produces.

Requirements

● Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Python / Java / Scala

     ○ Aware of functional programming principles.

● Proficient in analysing and data transformation using SQL

      ○ Care about writing damn good SQL.

● Proficient in English (must have)

● Good thinker:

     ○ Ability to design and visualise the technical solution without coding.

     ○ Ability to communicate with stakeholders to break down business requirements into essential, actionable items.

● Nice-to-have: Hand-on-hand experience with distributed data ingestion framework, data transformation, and data orchestrator.

● Nice-to-have: Hand-ons experience with cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

● Write boring ETL jobs. Recognise common problems in financial data engineering and implement reusable self-served components to speed up the data onboarding process.

● Address bottlenecks and improve the current data platform architecture based on the ELT concept.

● Work closely with analytic engineers and business stakeholders to:

     ○ Address root business problems and advise them with proper data models to solve them.

     ○ Propose/design scalable data models to tackle new requirements.

     ○ Ensure data reliability of these models.
