Reports to: Mining Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Working under diverse team in the field under dynamic constraint of nature.

Responsible in overall reserve and resources management for extraction at Ipoh Quarry including planning, records, sampling, interpretation of marble in quality perspective, and assists in mine planning (long, medium and short term) to achieve overall quality objective.

Will be trained to be as successor plan of Mining and Crushing operation in Ipoh Quarry.

Geological

• Perform and monitor sampling done by site in charge person including face observation, drilling dust, after blast muck pile, and loading point sample.
• Perform and monitor sample testing in order achieve consistent data with the interpretation
• Update existing block model data and compare with current extraction.
• Provide estimation of blending between various type/quality of raw material for daily extraction plan.
• Close monitoring of dynamics constraint while operation ongoing.
• Provide support for regional projects and update.
• Provide monthly quality reports based on extraction and monthly operation.
• Responsible person for Reserve and Resources global reporting.

Safety and operation

• Day to day on site contact person for the operation.
• Key person for planning, implementation and monitoring of mining plan.
• Supporting Mining Manager in term of safety and productivity of contractor (including drill, blast, load and haul) on site.
• Maintain compliance with all company or local authority policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external colleagues
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of Surpac would be advantage
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Bachelor Degree in related field i.e. Mineral Resources Engineering and Geologist
