Responsibilities

This position involves a dual focus on process development (detailed design) and operational execution (manufacturing follow up, installation & commissioning). It requires a close working relationship with the Factory Production Manager while also working directly with the different subcontractors in order continuously improve our production lines, enhancing the productivity and reliability of our processing equipment.

You are expected to quickly become a technical reference of the company regarding our different processing needs, as well as developing and leading the local Engineering team.

More particularly, your tasks will include:

• Providing technical leadership and project oversight regarding the design of our insect’s production and transformation equipment.
• Developing, reviewing, and maintaining system design standards, guides, and best practices (P&ID, Layouts, Manual users, Maintenance plan, Bill of Material)
• Developing User Requirements, Functional Specifications, Design Specifications and Operation/Maintenance Manuals for new and existing systems.
• Providing technical assistance to the Production teams.
• Managing sub-contractors: challenging current sub-contractors’ technical and commercial offers. Developing new equipment alongside different mechanical manufacturers (local and international).
• During the commissioning phase, being involved in the reception of the equipment and start-up of the production lines.
• Managing a cross-functional Engineering team: mechanical, electrical and automation, civil, process.

Requirements

• Having graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or equivalent by proven experience.
• Having at least 10 years’ experience working in a similar position in manufacturing projects, preferably with international projects with a size above 20 million USD.
• Having real expertise in thermodynamic engineering. Proven experience in drying process design and operation (for food industry application).
• Having real expertise in HVAC system design.
• Languages: native in Bahasa Indonesia, very good communication skills in both oral and written English mandatory.
• CAO/DAO skills (autoCAD) for P&ID production: being familiar with working with international standards.
• Developing PFD, P&ID, process equipment datasheet, process description and all other process-related deliverables.
• Independently performing common process calculations such as process safety valve calculation, hydraulic calculation, and equipment sizing.
• Equipment capacity sizing & input to equipment datasheets (tanks, heat exchanger, fans, pumps, compressors, and others).
• Determining pipeline sizes and set piping design condition and routing.
• Determining process conditions input for instrumentation.
• Coordinating with Automation team to develop process control scheme.
