Job Description:

Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for setting up the cocoa factory in Malaysia and delivering it to the business.
Project Planning

  • Subdivide major project deliverables into smaller project packages.
  • Develop the project plan including the work breakdown structure, budget and schedule
  • Identify and manage interdependent activities and conflicting schedules
  • Identify potential internal and external risks and plans for risk management
  • Estimating and planning for project staffing, roles & responsibilities, quality standards, information & communication needs
  • Establish Safety Organization Structure
  • Agreements with local authorities
  • Ensure connections and supply of utilities (electricity, gas/LPG, water)
  • RFQs, selection and contracts with local contractors
  • Site preparation and provisions, incl. required utilities (energy)

Project Implementation

  • Ensure safety during the project
  • Execute the project plan
  • Comply with standards w.r.t. safety, quality, process and civil
  • Comply with project design, escalate deviations (scope, time, quality, cost)
  • Monitor, forecast and report project performance (scope, time, quality, costs)
  • Manage change, manage risks, and manage stake holder expectations.
  • Develop monitor and support project team.
  • Site management
  • Manage OTIF of (intercontinental) logistics for equipment and materials
  • Manage testing and commissioning.

Project Close Out

  • Ensure all key deliverable and performance guarantees are met
  • Prepare project summary report and document all the change requests
  • Manage a punch-list including planned (mitigating) actions.
  • Ensure as built drawings and documentation are handed over to the operations team, including required (test) certificates according to local machinery regulations (E.g. PED, ATEX or similar)

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering/Project Management, PMI certifications will be added advantage.
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience in managing large projects with Capex of >25 Mn US$ in APAC or Globally, adopting EPC /EPCM approach.
  • Experience in Food Processing Industry and related topics (E.g. HACCP, GMP, ATEX)
  • Knowledge about Industry 4.0, Digital twin, IT/OT, engineering standards etc
  • Experience in setting up a cocoa facility in past and having knowledge about cocoa processing will be an added advantage.
