Job Description:

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the Engineering team and Project Manager on vendor selection for, and the supply of all construction and equipment packages. The Engineering team will be responsible for the technical side, such as developing URS, checking vendor capabilities, … Your team will be responsible for all other aspects:

  • Developing and leading the Procurement team.
  • Finding and developing partnerships with reliable local vendors & suppliers.
  • Preparing and negotiating contracts terms; follow up contract execution until final acceptance signature and contract closure.
  • Ensuring that the contract terms are followed strictly by all parties involved during its execution:
    • Contract schedule
    • Payment milestones
    • Corresponding deliverables (tests reports, technical documentation etc.)
  • Managing vendor relationships and conducting regular performance evaluations to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and service standards.
  • Performing cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.
  • Assessing, managing and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Construction and the Procurement team in Vietnam to achieve project targets (cost – quality – timing).

Requirements

  • Having graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably purchasing and/or engineering.
  • Having at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar position in manufacturing projects, preferably with international projects with a size above 20 million USD.
  • Having a good understanding of local regulations related to procurement activities of international construction projects such as: customs clearance, tax exemption, …
  • Having demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing procurement processes.
  • Possessing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Language: native in Bahasa Indonesia, fluent in business English.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Able to communicate fluently and directly with all stakeholders.
  • Much appreciated but not mandatory:
    • Strong technical background in at least one engineering field (electrical, mechanical, process, …).
    • Previous experience as a project engineer working on an industrial construction project.
