KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the internal team and the team of co-factories to ensure that the plants meet their established targets and standards.
- Set and monitor the performance of the plant against company's standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and operating efficiency, quality, cost control, administration efficiency, legal compliance, inventory control, finished goods distribution, and human resource management.
- Responsible for meeting established operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, priorities spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to Quality & Food Safety System (QFS) in factory to ensure we adhere to customer and client expectations of our finished products.
- Drive all Health and Safety requirements and initiatives that the Health & Safety team requires.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence programs
- Lead Opex and Capex management for the facility
- Coordinate with operations & digital teams to implement various initiatives
- Coordinate with Sales & Support team to lead smooth & successful commercialization of new SKUs
- Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities.
- Support Operations Head in developing a variety of operating policies and procedures to ensure that the plant meets it current and future production targets and quality standards.
- Review the current processes and look for areas of improvement to reduce direct cost and improve productivity.
- Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in relevant fields; Certification in Production and Inventory Management as well as Quality Control
- Must have a minimum of 10-15 years in factory/production managing within coconut industry.
- Relevant experience in running medium to large operations covering multiple unit operations and departments.
- Must have experience to lead a large workforce and oversight over safety, operational efficiency and OTIF requirements of the business.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and AUTOCAD
- MUST have proven ability to interact with all stakeholders as a team player.
- Experience in driving strategic goals for production as well as overseeing daily operational activities to ensure stability and efficiency in all steps delivering consistently meeting customer requirements.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- The individual should have proven experience as a “self-starter” with a strong element of dynamism and the ability to move fast and get things done. He/she should take a keen interest in the personal development of team leaders at all levels and create a best practice culture that empowers the team leaders to manage their relevant departments with confidence.
