Job Description:
Member of the country leadership team, contributing to and influencing the development of country strategy, providing challenge and HR consulting support. Manage the relationship with Business / Site leaders and Senior HRBPs to understand HR requirements and translate into prioritised operational plans.
Deliver HR services in specific Countries to meet business needs ensuring compliance with corporate policy and Country contractual & legislative requirements.
Accountable for legal/employment policy and governance, ensuring in-country activities comply with corporate policy and national employment laws. This includes hiring, termination, trade union relations, diversity, immigration. Support mergers/acquisitions/divestitures in the Country
Manage and develop a pool / team of operational generalists to deliver business support. According to Country, manage a HR Shared Services Team. Drive the use of HR Shared Service to ensure Generalist team is focused on right priorities.
Manage and control Country HR budget and Team, driving HR performance, consistency and standardisation to best utilise & minimise resources. Support Generalist team with business priority alignment.
Provide local intelligence to Resourcing, Reward, Employee Relations and Business Areas on hiring trends, successful reward package elements, including benefits, and drivers for motivating the workforce.
Assure core learning and Corporate compliance training is available to all. As appropriate, support development of in-country strategy for talent development, both individual growth and leadership growth.
Drive standardisation, simplification, economy of scale where possible. Share practices regionally, globally in the interest of continuous improvement
Act as primary management interface with in-country contracted HR advisory and support service
Manage HR/Company interaction with relevant public regulatory groups, interested organisations, works councils
Requirement
Demonstrated experience in a matrix organization
Broad knowledge of the HR function and its capability to support business objectives
Management of HR generalist teams, where size of country/sites warrants
Well-developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing skills. Customer service orientation. Ability to work in a ‘matrix’ and cope with ambiguity.
Knowledge of country employment laws, regulations, procedures and HR issues.
Local and English language capability
Ability to coach leaders and their teams to deliver business strategy and drive performance and capability improvement within their teams.
