Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid are as follows:

Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive admissions and financial support strategy aligned with Fulbright's mission, values, and enrollment goals.
  • Provide leadership to the admissions and financial aid team, fostering a collaborative within the team and with other stakeholders in the university.
  • Monitor industry changes, best practices, and competitor benchmarks to continuously enhance Fulbright's admissions and financial aid process.
  • Manage the budget for the admissions and financial aid departments, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while meeting enrollment and financial aid targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure the smooth process of integrating digital and traditional marketing and transitioning the leads from various sources to CRM system for nurturing.
  • Generate regular reports on admissions and financial aid metrics to share with relevant stakeholders, including senior leadership of the university.

Recruitment outreach:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with high schools’ principals and teachers, educators, and other external partners to build the applicant pipeline.
  • Build excellent customer service to prospective students and parents, addressing inquiries and concerns related to admissions and financial aid.
  • Lead the team efforts in recruitment activities and build the appropriate recruitment funnel to ensure the enrollment targets.
  • Regularly analyze admissions data and trends to refine strategies and meet enrollment targets.

Admissions:

  • Oversee the entire admissions process, from prospect identification to application review, interview, decision-making, and enrollment, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for prospective students.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and other stakeholders to ensure the admissions process reflects Fulbright's admissions criteria and diversity objectives.
  • Collaborate with student affairs and academic departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students into the Fulbright community.

Financial Aid:

  • Oversee the entire financial aid process, from reviewing application, conducting family interview, and making decision, to ensure the process is fair, transparent, and efficient to support students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and align with Fulbright’s priorities.
  • Ensure that the financial aid activities are meticulously planned and executed according to a predefined timeline.
  • Collaborate with Development team, Finance team and donors to ensure funding for need-based financial aid is used with transparency and accountability.

Merit-based scholarship:

  • Oversee the entire merit-based scholarship process. This includes establishing clear criteria and procedures for awarding merit-based scholarships, ensuring fairness and transparency in the selection process.
  • Generate regular reports on the distribution and impact of merit-based scholarships, sharing insights with relevant stakeholders to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to promote merit-based scholarship programs to prospective donors.
