Main responsibilities
Performance
Management of Category
- Develop and prioritize action plan to execute category strategy with buyers
- Monitor key performance indicators
- Assist in the execution of effective pricing strategies and inventory
management
Assortment
Planning and Merchandising
- Develop and ensure relevant product assortment for on-going category
expansion
- Provide business analysis and insights on sales, pricing and on-going
opportunities for incremental volume and margin
- Develop on-line merchandising and promotion proposals and calendar to achieve
sales targets
Vendor
Management
- Work with existing vendor base and brands to negotiate terms improvement,
develop new incentive programs, and ensure a reliable and operationally
effective flow of goods to our fulfillment centers
- Establish new direct accounts in support of selection expansion and margin
improvement
Who we are looking for
- 4+
yrs of work experience in finance or consulting or an analytically focused role
in ecommerce / retail
- Possess
strong analytical acumen and be comfortable generating and evaluating various
forecasts, metrics, and analyses.
- Be
adept at problem-solving and managing multiple priorities effectively and
efficiently
- Possess
superb business judgment with a desire to manage your own business.
The
individual should have a proven track record of successful negotiations and
relationship management (both internal and external)
- Ability
to effectively deal with both corporate management and the general workforce
- Excellent
written and oral skills, strong organizational communication skills
- Strong
team work and interpersonal skills
