General Manager

Education

  • University degree in science and/or degree in business
  • Degree of overseas MBA preferred

Experience & Skills Required

  • Extensive experience over 15 years in sales & management positions within pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in multinational companies most preferred
  • Successful record of contribution and/or P&L responsibility
  • Strong leadership skills to direct large team of marketing & sales
  • Good understanding of country and local dynamics, including regulatory and market environments
  • Understanding of product launch and product commercialization processes
  • Extensive sales & marketing management experience
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Key Accountabilities

  • General
  • Ensures overall sales target and operating profit through effective leadership and management
  • Establishes and implements business strategies that will help in attaining short term and long term business objectives
  • Develops annual business plan and ensures periodically progress of performance on track
  • Develops organizational capabilities and peoples’ competence to meet market demand and compete in the market place
  • Closely collaborates with headquarter in terms of operational planning and business development

Sales & Marketing

  • Responsible for developing marketing & sales strategy and implementing them effectively
  • Directs and controls budget allocated to marketing and sales teams
  • Oversees tender business and manages pricing policy to maximize sales and operating profit
  • Develops and implements sales & marketing policies and ensures all sales & marketing team compliant to them

Business Development

  • Develops new market and product opportunities which enables company to grow in short term and long term
  • Explores new partners to expand market coverage and improve operating profit
  • Manages distributors and partners by reviewing and/or revising contracts

Government & Regulatory Affairs

  • Responsible for government & regulatory affairs including product registration, pricing, reimbursement and policy
  • Oversees regulatory affairs to ensure new product registration and renewal of existing products in timely manner
  • Monitors change of government policy and drives & initiates positive change to predict and minimize business risks

Logistics / Supply Chain Management

  • Responsible for managing stocks and planning import schedule in collaboration with headquarter
