• To carry-out integration of all geological regional data for future exploration and development plan; and to provide technical direction and assurance to the Subsurface team encompassing all aspects of the geological responsibilities
• To carry-out regional geological markers for structural/stratigraphic well correlation frameworks; and to provide detail depositional geological model concept for 3D static reservoir model inputs
• To build and manage 3D static reservoir model for future development well planning and reservoir management (fractured basement and clastic reservoirs); and to provide and update HIIP and recoverable reserves for economic calculations
• To carry-out structural/stratigraphic prospect identification and evaluation (risk analysis and ranking) for further appraisal requirements and recommendations; and to conduct regional tectonic regime (stress and strain analysis) and apply in fractured intensity map
• Fully responsible in well proposal by preparing well geological background, prognosis & data acquisition program, and also post well evaluation report; and to support in all drilling operations (well targets and design optimization, site survey program, shallow hazard assessment etc)
• To prepare required tendering documentation and supervise all the service contracts such as the mud logging, wireline logging and other study services
• To participate in all preparation for technical/management presentations to host Authority and Partners
• To assist in providing training and transfer of technical knowledge and skill to local employees, in area of geosciences in general as part of developing technical capability of subsurface team

Job requirement

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or any related discipline. Masters in these disciplines would be an advantage
• Minimum 10 years of significant industry experience and proven skills. Experience in Vietnam’s operations is preferred
• Experience in both exploration and development activities; prospect evaluation, well planning and drilling operations
• Basic to advanced petrophysics knowledge/skill
• Competent in using G&G Petrel software or any 3D modeling software; Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Able to and enthusiastic about domestic and international travels
