Job Description:

1. Job Responsibilities
Planning & Capacity Management:

  • Lead group capacity planning activities ensuring delivery against operational requirements and which optimize manufacturing efficiency and costs
  • Liaise with Customers to understand order demands (existing and future) and requirements, provide regular update and reports to Customers and reflect on Customer KPI
  • Monitor order forecast and placement by SP and season; conduct analysis; refine systems and methods so that the Company can better anticipate customer needs.
  • Monitor development order forecast and placement by DB and season; conduct analysis; refine systems and methods so that the Company can better anticipate customer needs.
  • Work with Factory VGMs to analyze product specifications, Factory capacity and undertake appropriate calculations to estimate job requirements in terms of labor, tools, materials and resources
  • Work with CEO to develop and monitor Order master plan (TMI Group plan), seasonal Capacity plan(including production and shipment targets) balancing with Factory’s capacity
  • Monitor Subcon management/ internal transferring in order allocation
  • Oversee the order process and production loading activities (LCO confirmation, production lead time, and change over planned/unplanned…)
  • Develop a strong relationship between all factory Planning managers and other departments to ensure accurate forecasting, material readiness support production and delivery.
  • Arrange meetings and update others of issues and concerns, liaise with stakeholders , review and communicate the impact on capacity plans in particular when there is a risk of not meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns.
  • Utilize knowledge and research methods to benchmark capacity planning activities and to drive best practice results
  • Oversight and coordinate all activities to get achievement the Customer performance targets
  • Take responsibility for managing the execution of key strategic initiatives related to planning, capacity management and resourcing, to ensure the expected outcomes are achieved in collaboration and coordination with broader team.
  • Other tasks as assigned by CEO

Subcon Management:

  • Plan, lead and oversee Subcon searching
  • Coordinate with Factory Planning Manager to monitor and evaluate Subcon performance to ensure it performs as expectation and deliver contractual obligations

People:

  • Identify, recruit, motivate, coach, develop and retain staff to ensure sufficient and qualified resources to deliver Planning plan & activities.
  • Provide tools, information, necessary training advice support to staff to complete their jobs
  • Manage staff performance and provide frequent constructive feedback for staff development
  • Handle discipline and employee termination in accordance with company policy
  • Manage interpersonal conflicts, promote collaboration and respect.
  • Reinforce & model company culture and values
     

2. Qualifications, Experience and Competency Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 10 years related experience in Planning Management of Garment manufacturing and 3 year experience in equivalent position
  • Knowledge of supply chain management – demand, inventory, purchasing and delivering plans
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – ability to assess past performance, current issues, and expected trends within the apparel industry
  • Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Highly skilled communicator with the ability to communicate complex concepts to others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills and ability to put them in dashboards.
  • Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities
  • Good negotiation skills
