Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats;
Implement/built in security systems to software, hardware and all relevant components;
Develops effective security strategies for software systems, networks, data centers and hardware;
Research best ways to secure company-wide IT infrastructure;
Build firewalls to protect network infrastructures;
Monitor network usage and software for external intrusions, attacks and hacks;
Identify and close off security vulnerabilities in the case of a cyber attack, report to HSSE Manager and cooperate with police or other legal forces to detain perpetrator;
Plan and perform regular penetration tests to find any flaws;
Collaborate with management and the IT department to improve security;
Interact with the appropriate police and local authorities;
Assist the in investigating accidents or other security related incidents;
Evaluate potential risks to personnel or the port and advises HSSE Manager;
Documenting any cyber security breaches and assessing their damage;
Reviews reports from outsourced shift security team leader for completeness and activity needing follow-up; provides written and oral reports to HSSE Manager;
Educating management and colleagues about security software & best practices for information security.
Conduct cyber security training for respective personnel if required.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the department Manager
Patrol assigned areas on foot, checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards;
Conduct briefings at the start of new shifts to inform outsourced Security guards of pertinent information regarding safety/ security matters;
Check doors and windows of office building, canteen, workshop, electric substations, …. to assure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors/windows; submits information to HSSE Manager;
Provides supervision and direction for the outsourced security guards;
Investigates reports of incidents involving theft and security of the Terminal;
Respond to alarms and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations;
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM subject.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred.
Completion of an internship/apprenticeship in cybersecurity a plus.
Strong IT skills including knowledge on hardware, software, networks and data centers.
Thorough work ethic, attention to detail.
Ability to think like a hacker and anticipate hacker move;
Experience in professional information security or cybersecurity role a plus.
At least 1-2 years of working experience in the field.
An understanding of safety or firefighting practices is preferred.
Ability to express in English is an advantage.
Good teamwork and effective interpersonal and leadership skills.

Able to work in a company with different nationalities and cross functional teams.
Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures.
