Summary of Job Contents

As a high-level automation process expert provides the best technical consulting and solutions for key applications to
the sales teams and to the customers in the reference industry segments. Takes commercial considerations fully
into account when proposing solutions. Has turnover responsibility but not customer responsibility. Conceptual
proposal of machine design in der Pre-Phase Sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to sales and customers on specific applications and production processes of the industry segments.
• Focus on the commercial and technical feasibility of proposals, based on technical and application knowledge for the corresponding Industry/Technology Segment.
• Proposes customer-specific solutions, in accordance with the regulations of the industry segments in question (Machinery Directive, etc.).
• Responsible for specification lists for the specific industry segments (e.g. Project Books*).
• Creates Requirement Specification together with the customer.
• Main interface to Project Engineer (further execution of the project).
• Discuss machine concepts to optimize machines, define specification and concept.
• During the pre-sales phase acts for specific applications of the industry/technology segments as the interface between the customer and all relevant departments within the company, always in coordination with the sales engineer.
• Provides technical training and arranges knowledge transfer to the Team for the specific products/applications of the relevant industry segment.
• Supports and provides ISM with products/applications requirements as input for ISP.
• Supports in Question of Norms, regulations.
• Identify and win projects based on excellent application /automation/sector competence.
• Knowledge Transfer to BD for Multiplication of Solutions.
• Manage commissioning of the project at the customer site coordinating the technical activities of the On-Site Service Engineer and/or the Application Software Engineer
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirement

• Experience in the design automation process
• Experience in operation/production engineer
• Prefer candidate from Food, Packaging, Beverages manufacturers or Automation suppliers
