To report directly to Manager with lines of communication to the SEA Regional Sales Manager.
To take the lead sales role of projects as well as to undertake normal management duties in the office with the primary objective of meeting the sales target set.
To undertake the collection and reporting of project information. Primary duties will be broad ranging and predominately be responsible for the profitable sales of all products including valve actuators and the associated control systems. This may involve preparation of quotations; follow up bids, specification selling to end-users and day to day contact with the valve makers and contractors using our products. This will also involve organizing discussions, demonstration and presentations to end users, consultants, EPC contractors and valve makers.
To update and maintain detailed sales and project records on RSMS and be required to assist or undertake the preparation of budgets and management forecasts. Secondary duties may involve coordination and after sales service works whenever required with local company’s offices in SEA or other offices worldwide.
To be able to visit various sites to conduct simple troubleshooting of actuation problems and subsequently propose solutions to contractors or end users with the objective of achieving retrofit/MRO sales. This includes pre-retrofit sales work such as advising and updating customers on product application, sizing calculations and quotations.
To be able to develop good rapport and relationship with valve makers, contractors and end users at his respective areas of coverage. This is essential for effective lobbying for new and retrofitting projects.
To be proactive, service-oriented, resourceful, prepared to work closely with office colleagues and be part of the team with the other offices and subsidiaries worldwide.
To travel frequently away from home (at least 50% of the time), visiting end user sites - oil and gas refineries and offshore platforms, Power Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Petrochemical Plants and all other factories and plants of other industries,in which products are used or potentially to be used.
To travel from time to time to other offices to attend sales meetings, training or conventions.

Candidate Specification

Education/Qualifications and Experience

Graduate in technical subjects, preferably Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

At least 5 years sales experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

Good command of English, (both spoken and written).

Skills

Proactive orientation to customer service, with evidence of developing competitive strategies and winning new customers.
Strong human relations skills (i.e. someone who is prepared to walk the job)
Highly self-motivated and self-driven to achieve sales targets.
Financial skills/Commercially strong
