Job Description:

 

  • To be responsible for the complete and proper execution of repair orders by the technicians in accordance with Client guidelines and stipulations
  • To carry out regular internal quality tests using forms provided
  • To ensure perfect quality, through the use of proper utilisation of workshop equipment and facilities
  • Road test the car together with the customer in order to diagnose the complaint
  • Check that the correct job numbers are entered according to the latest KSD
  • Keep accurate records for the "W” time by making sure of proper clocking in and out by the technicians for each repair job.
  • Check the CPS to make sure that all finished cars are out of the system in order to update the workshop capacity for new appointments.
  • Check the data entries on for MTM for each job line and the recording of time cards and "W” times
  • To manage, instruct and motivate staff members under your supervision
  • To be responsible for the operation and traffic safety of customer vehicles within the framework of the repair work
  • To provide expert support for the technicians in the diagnosis of difficult repairs
  • To manage, instruct and motivate staff members under your supervision
  • To ensure efficient information flow for all productive staff
  • To be responsible for cleanliness in the workshop area
  • To check the quality and punctuality of all repair and maintenance work ordered from external service providers
  • To organise order management according to technician qualifications in co-ordination with the controller
  • To co-ordinate information with time scheduling / service advisors in the event of order extension / delays; to obtain feedback regarding utilisation rate
  • To organise parts supply for technicians
  • To observe the applicable Terms and Conditions of Repairs
  • To ensure optimum use of work bays in the workshop (according to technician and apprentice qualifications)
  • To check proper handling and storage of waste products and materials in accordance with waste-disposal regulations and environmental law
  • To monitor and organise order and cleanliness in the Service department
  • To ensure compliance with regulations governing safety at work and accident prevention
  • To work flexible hours depending on the workload
  • To maintain RSM and Client  standards at all times.
  • To manage the wash bay area and ensure maximum utilisation and efficiency
  • To carry out all of the above functions in a professional manner and maintain the ideal of team spirit and inter-colleague co-operation.
  • To report to the Service Manager any and all short falls recognised within the scope of fulfilling the abovementioned duties.
