ARISE is into building ecosystems essential for promoting industrialization in Africa. These ecosystems are developed through investment, construction and operation of large scale infrastructure projects that effectively develop and strengthen the natural/agriculture resources supply chain and act as manufacturing and logistics hubs that promote value addition to these natural/agricultural resources within the country of origin before final export, leading to industrialization and job generation. 

ARISE has presence in five countries – Gabon, Mauritania, Ivory COAST, Togo and Benin and its operations is split into three sub holdings:

• ARISE Port and Logistics (ARISE P&L)
• ARISE Integrated Services (ARISE IS)
• ARISE Integrated Industrial Platform (ARISE IIP)

Under Integrated Industrial Platform, ARISE develops large scale Special Economic Zones / Export Promotion Zones/ Free Trade Zones, Industrial Zones, Logistics Hubs, and Free Trade Warehousing Zones in Africa. The key focus sectors for already operational Gabon and under development Benin and Togo SEZs/IZs are Wood Processing and Textile.

There are more than 80 investors in Gabon SEZ into wood processing and most of them are from India and China. Since there is heavy import of wood and cotton from these countries to Vietnam and government of these countries are slowly and slowly imposing restrictions on export of un processed raw material to promote local manufacturing, ARISE is hopeful of being able to attract Vietnamese entrepreneurs to invest in Wood Processing and Cotton Processing in these countries to benefit from low cost raw material, trade agreements with US and Europe and direct access to Africa market.

 

Job Description: The chosen candidate will be responsible for the promotion of the ARISE SEZs/IZs in Vietnam with a purpose to attract and convince Chinese investors to invest in these SEZs/IZs in Africa. The broad responsibility includes, but not limited to, the following: 

• Conducting primary and online research and analyzing data to identify and define target groups
• Devising and presenting ideas and strategies
• Understanding the target sector value chain and preparing business models for each of the processing step or coordinating preparation of the same through sector experts.
• Liaison with trade associations, facilitate G2G, B2B and B2C meetings. 
• Participation in events and product exhibitions 
• Developing agent network in various sector specific clusters spread across Vietnam
• Overseeing promotional activities – road shows
• Prepare or coordinate preparation of marketing tools – brochures, animations, videos etc. 
• Content creation/writing and proofreading creative copy
• Maintaining websites and looking at data analytics
• Managing campaigns on social media – digital and online marketing
• Monitoring performance of various marketing tools/agencies deployed
• Updating databases and using a customer relationship management (CRM) system
• Managing paperwork and coordinating complete logistics for Chinese investor delegations visiting Africa.
