Job Description:

Objectives/Purpose of the role

The prime objectives of the job are to:

(a) generate and follow leads to achieve our product specifications from consultant engineers, architects and clients as appropriate and

(b) provide technical assistance such as writing specification, waterproofing design advice, CAD detailing to the specification and sales teams

(c ) act as specification lead to develop specific market segments, such as transport or industrial sector, as defined in opco business plan

(c) track projects and cooperate/coordinate with the sales team to ensure that specifications are turned into sales

(d) meet Fosroc Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) targets

Key Areas of Responsibility

Achieving the target Specification value of the Specification Team.

  • Developing new market sectors through specification
  • Focus on creating opportunities at an early stage in the design process in order to secure product specifications which will reduce the effect of competitive bids when contracts go to tender. This will include works such as identifying market opportunities, locating responsible personnel, cold calling, relationship building, provide project proposal, drawings, specification, conduct presentations, arranging seminars etc.
  • Where a competitor's products are found to be specified, the job holder will seek assist the sales team to make alternative Fosroc proposals, supporting such proposals with any necessary documents.
  • Provide specification support to sales department for on going contracts when so required, and technical support to Marketing Service team such as specification, BoQ, CAD details, reviewing method statement, case studies or any other technical or marketing material as required.
  • Assist in developing product marketing strategy.
  • Track key project progress from concept to execution stage and pass to sales team at appropriate time
  • Use CRM and project tracking software to record and qualify opportunities
  • Provide input for new products development or product enhancement, and to assist in new product launch.
