Job 46 Senior Petrophysicist

Job Description

A minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience in open-hole log processing and interpretation. Good understanding of resistivity and nuclear log physics.
Good understanding of core analysis data and its use in calibrating logs.
Good understanding of the general applications of wireline and LWD logs. Formation tester tool and pressure transient analysis experience is a plus, as is image data processing and analysis.
Good understanding of sonic waveform and processing is required.
Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, as demonstrated in a publication record.
Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative, and be a self starter.
Must have a sound understanding of petrophysics and be proficient in manipulating log data using commercial log analysis packages.
Handle multiple assignments and effectively prioritize work in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail is paramount.
Excellent Written & Oral Communication skills required.

Requirements:

University degree in petrophysics.
Professional knowledge of petrophysics in petroleum industry.
Good computer skills with workstation experience. Especially, familiar with petrophysical softwares.
Ability to improve technical skills in a high technology environment.
At least 7 years experience in Petroleum Exploration line.
Good English (in speaking, writing, listening and presenting) equal to TOEIC 750.
