Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and undertake experiment for Whipped Topping Projects and evaluate results of experiments and analysis
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to understand product definition and attributes for new products
  • Analyse lab trial/plant trial data and produce relevant reports
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in ELN.  Document the types of lab tests which have been conducted and record results of such tests in a lab notebook, ELN or in a computer database. 
  • Create process parameters for new products including conversion of technical knowledge and scientific information into product / process.
  • Manage plant trial for new products/ cost saving projects
  • Transit processes to QA and Operation for commercial run
  • Ensure that the working environment is sanitary, safe and orderly
  • Investigate and undertake trouble shooting for product quality issues
  • Provide information relating to products when requested. (Nutritional data, product handling, ingredients)
  • Support Manager to communicate and/or present information to other departments in relation to Whipped Topping Products
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned by Manager
  • Design and conduct shelf life studies, including product and package performance evaluations under various conditions and make recommendation for appropriate adjustment in product or package as required under Manager’s supervision
  • Conducts lab and pilot plant experiments involving product and process development and design (e.g. prototype preparation, product line extensions, shelf life and product performance), either independently or in collaboration with other associates.
  • Able to manage 1+ high com or 2+ low com projects simultaneously with guidance.Proactive in suggesting ways to improve project quality.Provide solutions to a wide range of technical problems by applying moderate technical knowledge and extensive experience
  • Apply appropriate method to conduct sensory test, and able to use statistical tool to analyse results

Experiences and Skills :

  • Male, Minimum 3 years’ experience working in similar role and environment
  • Relevant degree from recognized tertiary institution majoring in Food Science and Engineering
  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese
  • Experience in food companies or food factories, exposure to foreign company environment will be an advantage
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong PC and MS Office experience especially in MS Excel and proficiency in working with relevant software tools
  • Planning & Organisational Skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with customers and colleagues
  • Creative Problem Solving and Decision Making skills
  • Must be a strong team player as well as team builder
