Job Description:

- Responsible for and lead all FSQR activies within business unit to include assisting with strategic and tactical planning in alignment with CFSRA and CAN business unit plans. Directs development and management of all Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) systems in the business including: continuous improvement of FSQR processes and systems, implementing FSQR policies, ensuring connectivity and collaboration between business functions,  assisting with talent management, directing management of the overall external FSQR environment including customer, supplier and regulatory interfaces for the business. Key member of the business unit Operations leadership team.

- Responsible for managing quality control activities in operation to ensure the alignment with FSQR system.

Responsibility/Duty:

- Develop, implement and assess processes/systems – directs implementation of all FSQR, specification and management of change systems across business unit, drives continuous improvement, provides input to business unit leadership related to base/non-base capital needs to maintain food safety leadership position.

- Ensure compliance of regulations/policies – assumes ultimate accountability for all FSQR compliance, direction and activities across business unit, analyzes and interprets CAN FSQR policies, regulations, customer and supplier standards, directs implementation of FSQR policies, customer and supplier standards across business unit.

- Perform prevention activities and issue resolution – ensure connectivitiy and collaboration between FSQR and other functions across facilities in business unit, mediates and ensure resolution for Business, leads BU crisis management team, directs work with suppliers/external manufacturers, proactively anticipates risk and takes preventative action across a business unit, accountable for completion of facility audits and proactively address risk areas

- Shape food safety, quality and regulatory culture/reputation – responsible as central FSQR interface with customer and suppliers for the business unit, builds internal and external partnerships, ensure customer complaint issues addressed, lead implementation of platform strategy to ensure a highly engaged FSQR workforce

- People/resource/budget management – lead talent management of employees in FSQR organization for the business unit; coordinates talent management efforts with the regional platform FSQR Manager and other BU FSQR leaders in the platform, build and develop effective, engaged FSQR workforce across the business unit, develop strategic and tactical FSQR plans for business unit in alignment with platform, corporate FSQR and BU objectives, key member of the business unit Operations  leadership team

- Lead implementation and management of S/EM process - assit BU to assure compliance to corporate platform S/EM program, audit suppliers, champion the Archer technology. Manage quality control activities - raw material, packaging, label, semi-finished product, finished product and production line inspection. Lead action plans validation plans and verification plans within the Quality Management System. Lead to ensure current documents of the Quality Management System are available for use. Lead the maintenance and hygiene of factory and equipment.

- Other duties as assigned

Essential Functions/Requirements:

- Travel

- High pressure equaling to the  industry, such as phama or premix

- Education (includes formal education, certifications, accreditations, etc):

  • Minimum - University degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences or related fields.  Deep technical knowledge in the areas of food safety, quality assurance and regulatory affairs.
  • English as the must

- Experience:

  • Demonstrated leadership and process control management skills and an ability to develop team members 
  • Understanding of statistical process control programs is preferred
  • Operations experience preferred.
  • Experience from the multi-national company as the must
  • Experience in Quality or Food Safety in a food or feed manufacturing business is preferred
