Perform
technical tasks assigned by Technical Manager on onshore or offshore
feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC/EPCM
projects.
Ensure the technical quality and accuracy of
the work produced and the assigned tasks are completed on time.
Interface with other departments, clients,
vendors, subcontractors and third parties as per Technical Manager’s
instructions.
Participate in inter-disciplines, projects,
client and vendor meetings when requested by Technical Manager.
Assist the Technical Manager in the
verification of technical documents relevant to the responsible units.
Assist the Technical Manager to prepare
engineering information to other department.
Assist the Technical Manager to answer
relevant site technical queries.

Primary involvement as of "Piping
Design Engineer†function in a typical project includes:
Perform piping
and equipment layout design relevant to the assigned unit or area.
Prepare piping
general arrangements and piping isometrics relevant to the assigned unit or
areas.
Verify piping
isometrics in the reference P&ID’s.
Perform data
consistence check/ clash check for 3-D models.
Participate in
3-D models review.
Perform pipe
support design for the relevant unit or area in accordance to Pipe Stress
Engineer.
Prepare piping
and bulk material take offs and bill off material.
Assist to the
Technical Manager to prepare piping and layout design specifications and
construction standards.
Primary involvement as of "Pipe
Stress Engineer†function in a typical project includes: Prepare specification
for Stress Analysis.
Prepare piping
critical line list.
Prepare pipe
support specifications/standards.
Prepare stress
calculation note.
Liaises with
Mechanical information for all matters concerning loads on equipment.
Prepare
specifications, datasheet, MR’s TBT’s and review vendor drawings for all tagged
support items (spring support, rigid struts, etc…)
§Review support
type and location indicated on the IFC isometric in accordance with approved stress
isometrics.
Primary involvement as of "Piping
Material Engineer†function in a typical project includes:
Assist the
Technical Manager to analyze the Project Procurement /Construction
requirements.
Liaises with the
Technical Manager for the selection applicable standard \s, codes and
specifications and incorporate him in job specifications.
Assist the
Technical Manager to prepare summary of piping classes.
Establish piping
material specifications (piping classes) and piping standard assemblies.
Provides input
data for piping components to 3D Administrator.
Propose any
deviation to the project (technical, cost and delivery).
Prepare valve
data sheets and piping specialty item data sheets.
Prepare Material
Requirement (MR).
Prepare Job Specifications for Supply (JSS) base on
project requirements
Prepare Technical
Bid Tabulation (TBT).
Assist the
Technical Manager to review vendor drawings.
Provide
mechanical data for Line list and supervised all MTO activities. This includes
piping insulating / painting and pressure / NDE testing requirement.
Prepare job specification for piping fabrication,
inspection and testing (where Client specification are nor available).
Requirement
Bachelor’s
Degree of higher in the following:
Piping Design and
Pipe Stress Engineer function: Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Piping Material
Engineer: Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy/Material
Engineering.
Minimum Level I Professional Engineering
License from the Engineering Council of Thailand.
Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in piping
engineering design in the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical, Petrochemical or related industries.
Conversant with International Codes and
Standards and Engineering Practices used in the industry – ANSI/ AMSE codes.
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD design
procedures.
Offshore platform design experience is an
advantage.
Specific requirements for the relevant
functions:
Piping Design
Function: 3D modeling design software experience (PDMS, PDS and Autoplant) is
an advantage.
Pipe Stress
Function: Competent user of CEASAR II software is an advantage.
Piping Material
Function: Competent user of Material management software and Material/
corrosion study experience is an advantage.
