Requirements

Educational Level: University Graduated

Work Experience: Min 5 years’ experience in IT application development & support

Specialty/Qualification: A Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

Skills:

Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems preferably in Refinery or Petrochemical business. Understanding of hardware and software requirements for operations and maintenance in an industrial environment. Experience with some of the following applications: Planning/Scheduling of production, Operations logbook, Inventory Management, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo), Data Historian (Honeywell PHD). Decision making abilities under pressure and innovative to generate new ideas. Good communication skills. Fluent in English both for speaking and writing. Dedication to maintaining safe operations enforcing strict conformance with all government regulations, and applicable company procedures and policies.

Responsibility

• Participate in the detailed design of MES applications\
• Participate in the definition of test scenarios.
• Participate in acceptance & integration testing.
• Assist in developing authorization profiles.
• Review technical documentation and user-training materials.
• Assist in the development of operational procedures for end-users.
• Assist in preparing master data.
• Prepare transactional data for data-conversion.
• Assist in start-up of applications & interfaces.
• Provide end-user support by analysing, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to MES applications and transactional data.
• Escalate unresolved issues to external Level 3 support and coordinate with L3 support personnel until resolution.
• Perform application related provisioning activities that include patching and deployment after running test scripts.
• Monitor applications for performance and other functional anomalies and perform remedy actions to recover.
• Keep technical documentation up-to-date
