Job Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set Strategic Goals, Objectives, Budgets, Policies & Procedures

  • Responsible for end-to-end accountability of all performed within the Ventures unit
  • Create business plan that generates long-term values

Drive the Implementation of Strategy

  • Source deals of early-stage investments
  • Generate a rich pipeline of investment deal
  • Oversight and provide advices across all aspects of ecosystem strategies from evaluation of business attractiveness, building business and investment cases, deal selection, terms design & negotiation, deal origination, etc. to planning of exit strategies

Conduct Strategic Review of Performance on a regular basis

  • Closely follow the performance of each deals in the portfolios by attending board meetings or relevant investment presentations
  • Assess and monitor the performance of overall Ventures units
  • Evaluate whether Ventures is on-track to deliver short- and long-term objective

Act as Principal Public Relations Officer of the Company

  • Represent the company in the interaction with large customers, government entities, financial communities, and the public
  • Maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and other venture capital funds

Collaborate with Other Units

  • Ensure Company standards and compliance are being followed
  • Work closely with other business and functional units to identify opportunities and support strategic initiatives across the group level

Build a High-Performing Unit

  • Instill culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Coach, develop, motivate, and provide growth opportunities for employees within the Ventures unit

JOB REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS REQUIRED

Experiences / Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of experience including significant experience at a top-tier venture capital firm, or major corporation venture capital group, with a deep understanding of the early stage venture capital space.
  • Proven experience from sourcing to exiting investments, including deal analysis, due diligence, reviewing and negotiating all documentation, serving as deal interface, and driving deal processes to completion
  • Highly developed analytical skills with ability to define issues, collect and analyze pertinent data, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, draw valid conclusions, propose sound recommendations, and implement approved solutions in support of specified goals; attention to detail is critical
  • Venture investment experience strongly preferred (not required)
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management Finance/ Economics/ Master's degree in business or related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency in English
