Responsible for setting up new joint venture:

• Planning:
  • Develop key understanding and insight of Vietnam IVD market
  • Create business plan for third party customers (clinics, evening clinics, walk-in, corporate health screenings)
  • Set a strong foundation by building up a specific development plan for operations, quality, sales & marketing
• Execution:
  • Hire and build teams to execute business plan 
  • Work with hospital labs to achieve sales targets
  • Prepare reports and submit to management committee
• Leadership:
  • Inspire lab staff to common culture to achieve vision and mission of labs
  • Able to build trust and motivate employees to work with heart
  • Build strong relationship with key stakeholders doctors, hospital management, regulators, patients, corporate customers

Responsible for process improvement of Lab:

• Gain ISO15189 accreditation for all labs
• Map processes and improve workflow
• Monitor inventory level, reduce wastage
• Document and adherence to SOPs
• Create standard KPI reporting for each lab
• Improve accuracy and quality of test results

Responsible for implementation of strategic projects including:

• Act as key person of contact with key suppliers
• Expand test menu offering
• Assist LIS vendor selection

Responsibilities related to human resources:

• Creation and implementation of group training and development plan
• Annual assessment/appraisal of lab employees
• Establish program goals, policies, analytical procedures, methods, and guidelines for staff
• Ensure that staff members comply with all laboratory rules and regulations, including health and safety policies

Other management duties:

• Establish strategic initiatives and mid-term planning processes
• Supervise budgeting process for all labs

Skills and Qualifications

• Direct lab working experience >5 years
• Medical degree preferred
• Strong lab technical knowledge preferred
• Have knowledge of setting up Lab preferred
• Experience in sale of commercial Lab preferred
• Experience in obtaining quality assurance (e.g. CAP or ISO) preferred
• Demonstrated history of leading teams and achieving results
• Strong inter-personal skills
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Microsoft Office

Minimum Requirement

• Completion of bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science.
• Approximately five years of work experience in a certified laboratory. Planning and organizing an analytical chemistry program, including laboratory quality assurance and safety programs.
