Job Description:

   Position Objective

The Film Marketing Manager will work closely with Distribution Manager in creating and championing the communication, publicity and social media strategies and plans across movies being released by the Company.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan, control execution, report, evaluate result of all movies marketing activities for Walt Disney, Marvel and Vietnamese movies in Vietnam market.
  • Screening to evaluate the film.
  • Define positioning of the movie, target audiences, marketing hooks
  • Define release strategy with release date, estimate box office (revenue), estimate ad pub, sales locations (cinemas that show the movie)
  • Define competitive landscape
  • Analyse SWOT of the movie,
  • Organize brainstorm session internally to come up with marketing ideas
  • Working closely with Disney, Marvel marketing team regionally and globally to manage marketing activities to align with global campaign.
  • Come up the marketing proposal & budget include: media strategy & plan (TVC, Print, Digital: Online, mobile, SMS, SNS, OOH, FOH) and non-media strategy & plan  (publicity, in cinemas marketing, in cinemas promotion, media exchange, merchandise promotion, premieres, events, other special PR activities) 
  • Propose to Disney Southeast Asia - regional office, producers, directors all plans & get approval
  • Create & Localize all marketing materials include: poster, flyer, standee, banner, TVC, display etc and PR materials include: all writing materials (press release, fun fact, interview...) AV materials (trailer, film clips, behind the scene, interview clip, music video, other specials) and photo materials (publicity stills, behind the scene images, special shoot, social assets)
  • Controlling execution to align with timeline and budget was set.
  • Evaluate efficiency base on box office report (revenue)
  • Manage crisis with bad movies review and scandal
  • Have quick action for in-season plan after movie release
  • Other tasks assign by Head Of Department.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • BA degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years experience in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media or advertising.
  • Demonstrated experience and a passion for the social technology universe (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Broad knowledge in movie, entertainment and multi media industries.
  • Understanding of current key issues and industry challenges in media within and outside of the country.
  • Superb writing skills are an absolute ‘must-have’. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly creative with an appreciation for high quality and stylish creative work.
  • Confidence and effectiveness in working with senior executives and matrixed communication contacts.
  • Evidence of strategic approach and robust project planning.
  • Ability to cross-collaborate and work as a member of a team; aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to distinguish and behave with a good sense of decorum; acting as a brand ambassador is absolutely required.
  • Energetic, with a great attitude.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment.
