Job Description:

 Key Accountabilities

 

  • Technical Authority for the Project  asset, with the following responsibilities:
  • To resource and resolve offshore technical issues identified by the offshore Operations team
  • To ensure that Verification of Performance Standards are  being performed transparently by Client l’s Independent Verification Body
  • To update the Project  Safety Case at regular intervals and manage the supporting safety studies
  • Manage the Engineering Department, with the following responsibilities:

 

Provide  professional  development  and  leadership  for  expat  and  local  staff  reports,  through  a programme  of   formal  training,  clear  role  definition,  KPIs,  feedback  and  clear  delegation  of accountabilities where appropriate

Be a role model in personal safety leadership

Ensure Team Development e.g. TPCs, IPCs, Competency Programs, are implemented. Provide positive mentoring coaching and, training to develop to all Operations staff

  • Manage Engineering Delivery, with the following responsibilities:

Implement solutions that assure the safe and efficient operation of all field facilities.

Deliver the resources to assure Asset Operations Systems Reliability and Integrity such that Asset KPI’s are achieved.

Champion continuous improvement process in all aspects of the operation to ensure the appropriate management systems are in place, regularly reviewed, and adjusted to optimize the operations.

Manage the assessment and control of changes to operational business objectives and plans.

Manage Contractors, Suppliers and Healthcare Vendors.

Manage brownfield and potential greenfield projects associated with Project  facilities

Manage engineering deliverables from the EPCI contractor, design consultants  and other specialist vendors for assigned projects

Manage the technical and reporting interface with key stakeholders including, but not limited to:

+Client Corporate [project ‘Gate’ and HSE Audits];

+Field Joint Venture Partners;

+Vietnam Register;

+Independent Verification Body;

+Gas transporters and buyer

Liaise with support teams - in particular Operations; HSE and Resources Teams

3. Major Challenges

  • Managing the execution of the cleint  Keez agreed Rectifications Plan
  • Managing engineering interfaces betweenz cleint

4. Financial accountability / activity indicators

  • Budgeting
  • Forecasting

5. Reporting and management relationships

Reporting to: Production Operations Manager

BSc / BEng in engineering discipline. Chartered engineer preferred

7. Candidate Profile

Skills / Experience:

-20 years of demonstrable offshore oil and gas experience in an engineering capacity of which the following should be covered with the last 10 years being at a management/supervisory level:

Direct experience in a previous capacity as technical authority or engineering manager

[ideally with a smaller Operator]

Previous experience managing Engineering Change

Familiarity with Safety Case regime and previous experience in handling a QRA [done by others] and the supporting process safety studies

Familiarity with Performance Standards and Independent Verification

Experience in commissioning and offshore operations, as appropriate

Knowledge of subsea operations, concept development and engineering development

Must have a multi discipline knowledge across, topsides and subsea engineering support

Knowledge of FPSO operations

Commitment to working and operating in a safe manner

-Proven track record of working with and managing multi-disciplinary teams

-Previous experience of working in SE Asia.

Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations):

-Knowledge of (FPSO, WHP and Subsea) systems and processes.

-Training courses relevant for position.
