Business Development Associate Vietnam

Main Purpose:
  • To ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards are maintained with regard
  • to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.
  • To be the local contact for Client and work closely with appointed distributor(s)
  • towards achieving company’s business objectives
  • To achieve sales revenue and market share targets for the assigned country/market,by promoting defined Client Coronary & RDN products to key specialists and
  • technical staff and managing the distributor channels
  • To practice good territory management in terms of organization, administration and
  • expense planning and control.
  • To assist Sales Manager in managing performance of our appointed distributor(s)
  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies,
  • procedures and Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure technical competency in all Coronary & RDN therapies in customers and
  • distributor(s)
  • Develop and implement sales and call plans for specified territory as part of national
  • strategy. Provide meaningful reports to the Sales Manager
  • Implement Quarterly Cycle Plans as delivered by Product Manager/Specialist.
  • Expand the customer base and sales by establishing regular contact with key specialists,
  • technical staff and administration personnel
  • Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained
  • In consultation with senior staff/sales manager, ensure customers and prospective customers
  • are technically competent through: in-services, and/or regular product updates through
  • correspondence and mailings
  • Ensure customer sales cycle is complete, , i.e. managing PO from distributor(s) and
  • payment etc.
  • Encourage team environment by offering case & sales support in assigned country/market y
  • working closely with distributor(s) as needed.
  • When requested, act as a mentor and coach to distributor staff.
  • Deliver sales forecast to Sales Manager and work with distributor(s) to maintain adequate
  • stock levels
  • Monitor and control local inventory in terms of consignment, shelf life, and turnover – by
  • working closely with distributor(s).
  • Gather market intelligence as an audit on hospital usage, competitor products and pricing,
  • also continual updates on general competitive activities to pass on to sales manager.
  • Complete surveys which provide assessment of customer satisfaction of Key markets and
  • accounts.
  • Any other assignments as required/requested by Sales Manager or the Medtronic
  • Management
Experience and Knowledge:
  • A minimum of three - five years of previous sales experience in medical devices preferred.
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Medical Sciences or Biomedical engineering field
  • Postgraduate business qualifications e.g. MBA qualifications preferred
  • Some overseas travel at short notice may be required.
  • Some out of hours work may be required.
