Job Description:

Responsible for setting up production target and production plan and to ensure the production quality, quantity and deliver product on time.

Strategy & Business Performance (30%)

  • Establish the department’s five-year business plan, annual operating plan and budget plan, result measurements, resources allocation, conduct progress review and demonstrate good judgment to identify the right focusing areas and make mid-course corrections as required.
  • Set strategic and operating direction for the department to achieve the department’s goals on quality, delivery, service standard, budget, environmental index and corporate social responsibility fulfilment, delight customers by department’s good performance.
  • Maximize department efficiency by controlling the its spending and cost and driving scientific management.
  • Drive department to meet the global market needs, such as shorter lead time, widen product categories and handle complicated styles.
  • Build and maintain a positive factory image by establishing key stakeholder relationships, such as customers, local communities, unions, and attending social or public relations activities.

Operation and Manufacturing Management (30%)

  • Manage all department functions and work delegation in daily operation.
  • Work with all department heads on all business risk management issues, such as environment, work safety, operations, employee management, etc.
  • Oversee factory workload and its executions.
  • Provide direction and guidance to all operational problems.
  • Provide guidance and track performance of departments, ensure compliance and adoption of standardized measures, processes and procedures.
  • Set up and implement internal management system, management ruling and responsibility mechanism to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Oversea the whole production process, material control quantity and tackle all production and quality problems.
  • Organize, planning, monitoring the number of workers on all levels, develop plan on needs for human resources per each pieces and renew the plan when required.
  • Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
  • Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees.
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.

Order Fulfillment (20%)

  • Drive orders completion in the right time, right quality and quantity, and at the right cost.  Partner with internal and external parties to maximize result.
  • Identify the right focusing areas, provide direction and expert advice to deliver result in time and within budget.

 

Process Re-engineering & Innovation (10%)

  • Identify the inefficient / ineffective process, area or operations procedures, and  guide the teams and related departments in developing plan, and road map to resolve them.
  • Provide training to related department executives to identify process improvement areas.
  • Drive and embrace innovation in department operations, develop and study new production workflow and technology to exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Develop best practice and encourage sharing and adoption across the organization.

Leadership and People Development (10%)

  • Design and implement organization structure and people deployment which align with Company’s strategy.
  • Define clear job profiles and requirements, cross-functional work processes to optimize recruitment.
  • Build and foster a harmonious and engaging work environment, ensure conflicts and grievances are properly handled and solved, managing good employee relationships across the department and labor unions.
  • Tighten performance management, differentiate good and poor performers and reward them differently, offer training and performance improvement programme to bridge skills gaps, deploy employees to the right roles based on their performance and capabilities, cease the employment relationship as necessary.
  • Provide continuous and instant guidance and feedback to direct reports, conduct regular performance reviews and provide effective support for performance enhancement.
  • Build talent pipeline by supporting the development of key successors which focus on enhancing their core competencies to drive business sustainability.
  • Develop training and enhance functional skills of subordinate, establish a talent pool.
