- Reservoir engineering leadership in the technical evaluation of all Client Exploration and Appraisal projects. The role will include a key supporting role with Client JOC with the position located in the Clients' office.
- Carry out field development planning and optimization studies with due consideration to economics and sub-surface constraints.
- Integrate field exploration data from a reservoir engineering perspective. This will include overseeing of lab sample procedures, sampling techniques, and lab engineering reports.
DAY TO DAY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to perform reservoir engineering responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Able to do field development work which will include data gathering, analysis and applying data, model building and running, interpretation and recommendation and reviews to Management, partners and host governments.
- Versatile in the day to day work, and able to react to ad-hoc requirements (support to operations, drilling, business unit, economists, etc).
- Power user of Eclipse simulator.
- Good interpersonal skills and having pro-active attitude.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:
- First or post graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Strong written and spoken English and Vietnamese language skills.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills necessary for interaction with JOC offices, contractor parties, government organizations, and exploration staff.
- Greater than 10 years experience in reservoir engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Extensive experience with Reservoir Simulation programs like Eclipse and MBAL.
- Self-motivated individual with strong technical skills.
- History of completing successful project.
- Work to be preformed at Client office in HCMC
