Job Description

  • Collaborate with the RF design team to commission, implement, debug, and continuously improve electrical test fixtures, processes, and procedures in manufacturing facilities to efficiently and repeatably produce high quality RF products.
  • Utilize and enhance data systems to monitor and improve first pass yield using structured problem-solving techniques to identify root cause of failures and resolve reoccurring process complications.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide frequent feedback, including recommendations for improvements, evaluation of problems, potential solutions, and discussion of further test requirements back to the RF Design Team.
  • Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes throughout testing and create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and debug high frequency power amplifiers in the 100kHz to 60MHz frequency range and power levels from 100W to 10KW.
  • Support all test execution, review, and feedback for new product introductions, existing product transfers, and production testing.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and guide repair of high power and RF electronics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, master’s degree preferred.
  • 1-5 years of relevant work experience including 
  • Exposure to complex system integration and troubleshooting of RF circuits with associated metrology (Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of automated test equipment and associated software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of:
    • High Voltage System
    • High Power Designs (100W - 10kW)
    • RF Power Measurement Techniques
    • RF/Analog/Digital controls
    • Printed Circuit Board layout principles and techniques
